In reply to the discussion: Post a pic of yourself! [View all]Tyrs WolfDaemon
(2,289 posts)353. It tasted great too.
When I caught it, I had no idea that there were Freshwater drum in that lake. After years of fishing there, that was the first time I had even seen one (it was also the first time I had ever seen one in person ). We actually took the picture to see what it was since our flashlight's batteries crapped out on us that night. Using the flash to see didn't work too well , but the picture came out. After the first flash I was all, 'It's a Bass!' while my buddy was 'It's a Carp!'. After the second flash we looked at each other and said 'It's a giant mutant perch?' but that didn't stop us from deciding it was worth eating.
Shocking the earth - , I was doing an earth resistivity study on a ranch looking into the their shallow geology. The owners asked that I do some work because they wanted to know more about their land and the water resources they had...have (This was years ago, so the world being what it is, their resources ought to be the same). By moving the probes out to different distances you can change the depth that you are testing. I always found shallow earth geophysics fun, even when using old antiquated equipment like I was that day. The newer stuff will create colorful cross sections and even 3D plots assuming you set out the probes right.
As to the wolves, I have always had a connection to wolves, foxes, coyotes and other canines. My parents have told me that I've had that connection since I was a newborn. I've even had visits from foxes and coyotes while camping. Those would happen really late at night when I couldn't sleep. It was almost like they would come keep me company, so I would talk to them. My friends thought I was nuts when they would catch me doing it, but they thought it was pretty cool that our camp would get visited like that.
I also think that wolves are much more noble than humans, so it has always been a deep down wish that I could shed my human skin and join them.

The Arizona sank with full fuel bunkers. Oil still seeps to the surface to this day.
