There was a blonde kid with glasses in the audience who was obviously sitting there thinking "overhyped crock of shit." I knew exactly how he felt. I'd heard their stuff without the screaming drowning them out and thought it pure bubblegum pop music.
Three years later, they'd dropped the bubble gum and were producing some interesting things.
But that night, I wasn't having any, thanks.

I was only 5 yrs old 49 yrs ago. But when I was 7 or 8 Santa brought me a Beatles sweatshirt :)
