(57,936 posts)Between sessions at a state Democratic convention, I sat in the lobby of a hotel when a young man sat next to me. I began a conversation and eventually he asked me why I was there. I explained that I was attending the convention, and he said to me "Democrats are boring."
There you go.
We could get a lot more voters to the polls if we stood up more dramatically for more controversial stances that would affect people's lives.
That is one of the reasons that I would like to see a good primary and ultimately a candidate who can win people's hearts and minds by focusing on the issues that the American people find important.
A good starting point is your suggestion: "time to heap on the ridicule and link this stunt with all the other damaging, irresponsible, reckless, and ignorant stunts we've had to endure. Easy case to make...just need headliners to make the case and remind the public of who they really are."
