I understand your concern with men that are not saying hello to be nice. That is wrong everywhere. You should ignore them.

But why are you arguing against one person saying hello to another?

I'm also from a small town and I love to walk when I visit places.

I've walked down the streets of Juarez (way tougher than NYC) and greeted people.

'Never been shot at or mugged. But, I have met a lot of great people.

Of course, I expect that. You expect the worst. It might be that we find what we're looking for.
