Take the "War on Christmas" paranoia--I mean, gosh, you'd never know Christmas even existed in this country from late October to mid January. It needs to be taught in the schools, because otherwise how will children know it's coming. (My cousin and her Christian friends made a huge fuss about this at the preschool where she teaches--non-degreed and uncertified, but that's OK with her "school." And those who dare celebrate openly are persecuted and made to feel "different."
Yeah, right.
The fact that I have to even take a stand on believing or not believing in god is oppression perpetrated by a bully majority. Why don't we all have to declare if we believe in unicorns or leprechauns or not?
And, what the hell happened to spell check on DU? (Haven't been around much lately.)
