2. China's poor quality infrastructure is raising questions

Even if it was a substantial blast from fireworks, surely the structure should have survived? Bridge collapses and other serious incidents seem to be commonplace in China these days. If you look at statistics regarding Chinese expenditure on infrastructure, they really need to focus on the quality of the finished product, or else the country will be faced with huge problems in the years to come.
