....you mentioned youtube as one alternative, aren't there many other internet gimmicks that AREN'T the national security threat that tiktok is accused of being?

I think I've heard of others (like snapchat, discord, signal, etc., seems there's a lot) but I haven't heard if they are also being banned or if they even pose the same threats.

Also, isn't it true that the parent company is actually the problem and nothing more than the sale of the tiktok business to a trusted company is being proposed?

Edit to add: I can see how this could be used as a rightwing spin against Biden, but as with all their B.S., I just don't see the actual problem. Yeah, the rightwing will try to make it into something but that certainly shouldn't interefere with our government addressing national security threats.
