You can't depend on intelligence agencies to give the public accurate information, even though they very well may have knowledge or even control of all the money trails.

It seems with this, as with so much else, the battles to protect the environment have to be researched, legally enforced and litigated through citizens' groups. Environmentalists have to know now who they are up against, and that they have to defensively arm themselves.
