and yes you are right about alliances. I do think the rules should be changed so that a person must have been a Democrat for a certain number of years before seeking the nomination. I say that because of exactly what you recount about how he mislead his voters into believing that Hillary did not win the primary legitimately. He did campaign for her and tried to bring them around, but by that time the damage had been done.
