At ground level are the average people, conservatives and liberals at war with each other, and those with no skin in either game. They know virtually nothing, and are driven by emotion. They are the pawns.
Above them you have the front-line politicians, including State governments and Congress. They know nothing about the end-game. They are the rooks and bishops.
Above them are the Rex Tillersons of the world. They care about money, but I don't think they know about the end-game either. They are the knights.
Then there is Trump. He's the King. Limited mobility but the center of the game. H doesn't know about the end-game either.
Finally you have the Dugin/Putin/Bannon axis. For them this is ideological. They don't care a fuck about money, they just want to destroy the west to rid the world of its corruption. They are the Queens: the pieces with the full goal in mind, and the actual power.
How do we achieve checkmate from here??
