My grandfather probably wasn't circumcised, either, but my father was, because the doctor told my grandparents it was "healthier". Appearance didn't have anything to do with the decision. I don't think that's as true today. I don't know for sure, but I suspect very few intact men want their sons to be circumcised for "health" reasons nowadays.
