I think it's "pretty damning" of our ally Tajikistan that "an officer of the primary counterterrorism unit which responds to terrorist threats in Tajikistan,... so he and other members of his unit were recommended for the program by the Tajik government."

I also think it's "pretty damning" of the bush administration that their "vetting" didn't discover the problems with this guy; or perhaps this guy is just really good at lying. Of course, I've read articles about white supremacists enlisting in the US military to receive arms training; so I'm not so sure it's just counterterrorism training that has this issue, nor that it's just a "US" problem as the Tajik government has obviously experienced some of the same.

I also think it's "pretty damning" of cnn to report this as though this began now rather than focusing on the bush connections; and their change of the narrative via the article versus the video titles.

There's a lot of "pretty damning" to go around it would seem.
