40. Except that it's not quite the case; politicians' sources of support vary. Some get most

of their support from e.g. the corporate sector or specific sectors within it (e.g. pharma, ag). Some (like John Edwards) get big chunks of their funding from specific lobbies (e.g. trial lawyers, doctors, teachers).

Not saying there are politicians untouched by finance; just saying that some are more touched than others.
