There are probably those who waited until the bail hearing to decide what they were going to do. All it takes is $25 from 6K people (an average of 120 people per state) and he's got the dough, if you don't count fees from credit cards, PayPal, etc.
With his lawyer doing it solely for the publicity, it actually means that those who decide to support him will not be paying the bills of an overpriced attorney. That might just push some over the edge in deciding they want to take his side financially.

In Florida, a bonding company charges $100 or 10%, although you have to provide collateral for 100%
