Good for them. The New York papers should have to throw in an additional 20 mil for the horrendous railroading they participated in.

Those were crazy days in NYC - Howard Beach, Bensonhurst, Central Park jogger. The city was a warzone. I often ask people "When was NYC's highest murder rate and absolute numbers?" They almost always say "mid-to-late 70's." Nope. It was 1990-1991. For those of us who were young adults in the city in those days, it's nothing we'll ever forget. It was both terrifying and amazing. Intense, intense years: 1987-1994, New York City.
