14. As I understand it, the GOP got Boggs as part of a "blue slip" deal.

It was part of a deal that allowed Obama to appoint a bunch of Dems that otherwise would not have been appointed had the GOP fully exercised their right to veto home state nominees. Yes, we let the GOP have this one major douchebag, but it was in exchange for them not blue slipping a bunch of Dem judges.

Tough call.
