Not here. Brrr.

Just popped in to say hello to everyone.

I've spent the past month in a self-imposed news blackout. No news at all. When someone starts to bring up something in the news, I say "don't tell me. I don't want to know."

And that, I find, is true.

I don't miss news or politics. It's just so predictable and circular. So I've decided to keep on with it.

I love DU and all the bright, informed, opinionated folks who populate it, and I'll still be posting from time to time, but largely not in GD. The cooking group and other groups hold more appeal for me.

I'm grateful that there are people here who are keeping on with news and politics and are dedicated to changing things.

I didn't imagine when I took some time off that I'd find that my interest in politics would wane so much, but it has. And change is good.
