(62,325 posts)41. Obama is not in a bubble, he is supportive of the policies of the people he appoints to his
cabinet. It is way past time to stop pretending he has 'no power' or it's 'not his fault, Republicans are making him do it'. This is past history now. The question is, what do we do now? Electing Democrats got us a whole of Republicans placed in the cabinet of a Democratic President, it did not end Bush policies, but in some instances it strengthened them. We know all this, we've been aware of it for a long time. But now it's time to move from this era in our history and start planning from what we have learned, what we must do to from now on.
