(24,544 posts)let me know that he was much more the latter than the former. Initially I thought he was playing Devil's Advocate and just doing the "this is what racists think" schtick but when I mentioned that black man/white woman had been done "half to death" and he asked for "illustrations" that made the radar go up. His post upthread mentioning how white women lust after well endowed black men and saying that "who you slept with was none of his business" when you mentioned your wife was black was the confirmation of his true intent.
Well, I'll say this much, the shock value has people talking about shtupping....the wording is treacherous...it invites questioning and clarification....I very much so get dual signals from it.....
Definitely true. There's alot of forces at play in the opposition to this ad and interracial relationships as a whole. Racism is definitely at play but as another poster mentioned, the sexism that white women are "possessed" by white men and to not be with one is some sort of betrayal is also in play. And because there are so many factors in play, that's probably why most of us get those dual signals you mentioned.
