It would probably be more correct to say "god or government" but there it is.

It is undoubtedly true that otherwise good people commit horrific acts of evil in the name of their government, and that such acts are often labeled as good or at least acceptable. Our Drone heroes come to mind here -- I doubt their are mass murdering sociopaths when they are off duty. None the less the point remains.

No good and sane person would even CONSIDER hacking up the genitals of an infant, let alone their own child. And I could go on. So could you. Every person reading this can recite a laundry list of horrors pronounced moral and mandatory by the righteous men of God -- horrors performed willingly by otherwise decent men and women.
