if you read through more of the (mostly positive) comments on their FB page and the company's replies, it is clear the target market is hunters who need lower capacity magazines and 'assault rifle' owners in NY and CA who have legal restrictions.
I believe in the not too distant future, many of those mocking this move will be crying that Magpul is exploiting a 'loophole'
