I was four and still remember getting stranded in that one on the way to my grandparents' house. Our car stalled out and my dad had to leave us while he went for help. The storm had come on so suddenly that we only had sweaters on. We nearly froze.

I grew up in Chicago also and this "up to" two feet of snow is nothing special IMHO.

Yes, I've seen that out here. A friend in Idaho had a 3-story with doors on all three because of it.
