After the surrender of Germany the 'Grille' was handed over to the British, then in 1946 she was sold to Lebanon and operated cruises in the Mediterranean. As an extra attraction she was given the name 'Boudoir Eva Braun', even though Eva Braun never actually stayed on the ship. In March 1947 she was involved in a collision and from November 1947 she was laid up in Beirut.

In August 1949 she was sold to America for scrap and was scrapped in Bordentown, New Jersey, in 1951.
