5. Cruz is going to rise quickly in the GOP.

I suspect he'll be their whip before his next election, and they'll probably start calling him their intellectual leader like Paul Ryan in the House. Sadly, Paul Sadler tore him apart in all the debates last year, all the debates that hardly anyone in the state actually watched. As a Texan, I know Cruz is probably going to piss me off more than anyone else in the Senate.

It'll be interesting to see if they try to get the Canadian-born Cruz to run for president. If not for his birthplace, I'd have no doubt in my mind.
