5. Here are a couple of my photos...

...I initially wrote 'shots' instead of 'photos', then I realized I would probably be alerted and end up int gundgeon. Whew!

As I related in a reply to Omaha Steve's thread on the conjunction (http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=2234638), I was able to get a predusk view of the Moon and Jupiter at around 5:00 PST. As the air cooled, the fog and cloud cover increase, but I took these photos at around 5:30 and 6:00 pm respectively, still 2 hours before closest approach. The second photo has the nice addition of a haloed moon; the blue smudge is some lens artifact, and the elongated Jupiter is a camera jingle. Fifteen minutes after taking these the fog hid Jupiter completely.
