Far too much of discourse on this ( and many other fraught subjects ) is based on expecting people to pretend they do not know what every adult actually does know of people and the world we are in.

If you want to keep that style of discussion up, you will have to find someone else to do it with. I am too old and too tired to put up with games of 'let's pretend', let alone participate in them.
