(5,714 posts)There is a lot of anger in the (particularly white) working class, but that anger has no left-wing economic channel. The cultural liberalism and trendiness of the modern Democratic Party, combined with the Democrats' recent embrace of neoliberal right-wing economic policies, completely turns off many white working class Americans. It doesn't help when the upscale, affluent, trendy liberals of the modern Democratic Party mock, ridicule, and insult the religion, culture (think of guns or small towns or rural life in general), and way of life of (mostly) white working-class (especially rural) people.
That being said, the Republican Party is still stronger among middle and upper class whites than it is among lower class whites. So keep that in mind.
