3. It isn't just good for individuals, it's in the best interest of the nation

I think we need to acknowledge that legislation like this is not just aimed at helping individuals (in this case, giving women and their families control over their reproductive lives), but is aimed at the common good as well.

The fewer unwanted or unplanned pregnancies, the more stable families can become, with less need for government assistance, fewer health problems to add to the system, better education outlooks for our communities. It improves our society in many ways. Population/birth control is both an individual and societal concern.
