2. I won't laugh at her.

While I don't agree that she's "on the right side of history", I do appreciate that there are at least SOME Republicans who consider themselves Moderates and want to salvage their party.

Because as much as I'm a staunch Democrat I still don't want the Democratic party to become the ONLY party. I very much agreed with the way the Rachael Maddow put it: "Because in this country we have a two party system, in government. And the idea is supposed to be that the two sides both come up with ways to confront and fix the real problems facing our country. They both propose possible solutions to our real problems. And we debate between those possible solutions."

I think that's exactly right. Although I frankly wish we were MORE than just a two party system. And I wish we would move in a more Progressive direction.

I wouldn't mind having a civil debate with someone like Meghan McCain over her 'Moderate Republican' ideas.
