I've been infuriate for years by what happened and how it was wrongfully reported. Mistakes and errors do happen. The mistake resulting in his death is forgivable and, having been in combat myself, is understandable. However, to lie and mislead the family and the public about how a Soldier was killed is insidious.

I have a strong distaste for war and for how our military has been used, but I will always have absolute love and devotion to the US Army and its members. I will stand to any end for my fellow Soldier past present. This does nothing but sour my respect for the upper command echelons of our military.

I've read many in depth analysis about our military and, over and over again, the devotion and quality of our Soldiers is stressed as a huge plus. however, the same isn't said about the top military leadership. They have been cited as being lower quality over and over again. Need any examples? Just look at the current Petraeus scandal. The Tillman debacle is (unfortunately) another example.
