Now rounding up all the secessionists from states all over the country and giving them Florida might work wonders. Florida is out over the ocean and wouldn't disturb transportation like a wall around Texas (and we'd really want to keep those folks out) would.

Florida is full of people who have been underwater on their real estate for years and would love to get out but can't sell. They'd jump at this offer. We could sell the secessionists on all the great beaches, never mind they'd have to dynamite a huge wall of ugly condos to get to them.

Florida is also hot, humid, buggy, moldy, and nasty. Better yet, it's on a major storm track for hurricanes. Best of all, it's sinking.

So all this talk of secessionism is pearl clutching over all the wrong issues. If we can't get them to flee to sunny Somalia, that libertarian paradise, then Florida is tailor made for them. There might be a government down there, but the degree of corruption would suit them nicely.

Best of all, we'd be rid of them with a minimal cost in border fortification.

And for the DU pearl clutchers, this is all .
