11. People already know Obama, tho...

That's been their problem this whole campaign. They know Obama and nothing Romney says or does is going to change that. That's the beauty (or sometimes the risk) of being the incumbent. Generally, people have made up their mind about you before the stretch run. In Carter's and H.W. Bush's case, the American people had decided they didn't like 'em as president. Americans haven't decided that about Obama and won't change their minds between now and November.

The fact is, of the last two incumbents who have lost reelection the past 32 years, both were trailing in the polls at this point. Both had disapproval ratings pushing 60%. Both were in dire trouble.

Obama is not in that position. No matter what they say, or do, it's not going to change the views of those Americans. It just isn't.
