The Powell campaign isn't wasting money on polling and the Cantor campaign isn't releasing the numbers. You can draw your own conclusions from that.

I can tell you some numbers from past elections though. Cantor took office in 2000 with 69% of the vote. That rose to 74% of the vote in 2004. Since then he has fallen every election through 2010 when he only received 59% of the vote.

Powell has also nearly tripled the money of any previous challengers to Cantor and has ads up locally. That's something else no challenger has really done here.
