It's saying that because my door is unlocked, I'm asking to get robbed. It's saying that if I leave my purse unattended, I deserve for it to get taken. It's saying that if I dress provocatively, I deserve to get attacked.
It's a blame the victim mentality that needs to stop in this country. Some people are so used to blaming the victim that they pretty much ignore the one who did the thieving, attacking or whatever the perpetrator does.
These perpetrators are all about looking for the advantage. That is who is responsible...not the victim.
