Is that people on the Left don't need media to reinforce their opinion 24/7. LW radio would not only compete with Rush, Hannity, etc but also with sports radio, music, and the aux cable (I haven't listened to the radio in about 5 years thanks to this magical $5 investment).
Just as Democrats don't have MSNBC on 24/7 like Republican have Faux on 24/7, this is the same.
People can only take so much 24/7 news.

I miss Air America as well. I'm not big on top 40 radio, right wing wackadoos or non stop sports.

I like Michaelangelo, Dean Obeidallah and Thom Hartmann. Randi Rhodes has a podcast now. nt
