(685 posts)...as a statement, essentially stage a walk out? A coordinated effort of protest?

(31,170 posts)of being chased out of our political home, but it is a very, very tempting idea.

(685 posts)...I see it more as an act of defiance - empowerment.
The jury system is so out of whack, the anti Hillary posts are vile. It feels powerless to just ignore, constantly. We've already been chased off the home page, the front door ~ nothing pro Hillary there....
Just tossing ideas out...

(31,170 posts)I'll probably be gone for good. I actually like to discuss policy, and it's just not possible here right now. I have a lot of the worst offenders on ignore, but I'm not sure I want my name associated with the crap that is allowed to stand in GDP these days.
Anyway, don't mind me! People are pretty fed up, so there may be many who would join you once daylight comes!

(9,070 posts)I'm on DU less and less. Frankly, I'm ready to give it up now.
There's no way to even post factual information in a protected group with attacks from the piranha.
Pretty obvious that trolls are leading the "hate Hillary" club too.
The jury system doesn't work.

(60,334 posts)You will feel a lot better and the BS'ers can spew their propaganda and you will not have to look at it.
Until this temper tantrum they are all throwing is over, it is best to steer clear.

(685 posts)They come in here and crock-block posts all the time
((Crock-block: When your post gets hidden by jury degree and you go and read the reasons for the hide...you think to yourself "what a crock of sh*t". That's getting crock-blocked)))

(685 posts)I was suggesting not quitting but rather empowering, en masse. Thats all.

(13,297 posts)Maybe there is a way to work something out with Skinner that perhaps an 'H' or a 'B' appears automatically in the beginning of a post title within a protected group so people aren't accidentally clicking on something they probably don't want to read, or might get under their skin or spark a rash response.
I honestly don't know if it would help. Maybe those posts require unanimous juries.
Seeing someone say 'why don't we all leave' is a very sad statement and I don't think you should. I will try to do less editorializing on my posts and try to let articles speak for themselves. Heck it would save time anyway - less typing to do! (another thought: perhaps protected groups' posts don't appear in trending list?)
Anyway, just wanted to offer a short note to say please take heart.
Cha
(297,249 posts)They come in here to alert and hide.. and also the egregious posts insulting Hillary are left to stand because that's the way the majority rolls.
I don't blame Hillaree for feeling like she does.. I feel the same.
Thank you for being kind, though.

(13,297 posts)I just thought maybe they clicked on articles from the 'trending' list as I have often accidentally clicked on your groups' stories this way. I refrain from commenting on them as I am not a group member (until this one). I do think Skinner could easily adjust a setting so that Hillary/Bernie groups' posts do not to appear in the trending list and see if it helps. Outta sight, outta mind.
Maybe it will get better with more discussions across the lines. I'm used to working with very sarcastic people who love getting reactions so I tend to brush it off, but I'm the exception I'm sure.
Either way, hang in there and hope you all don't choose to leave. Deep down I think anyone on this board would jump to help another member in need out in the real world -- and I am heartened by things like SalmonChanted weekly posts that pull everyone around the campfire for good stuff to celebrate.
Cheers!

My clicks have generated revenue for this site over the years. Only started posting when it seemed so out of balance. Still one great thing about democracy is the notion of equal voices, equal votes. So while my post list is relatively short, my voice is just as valid I believe. As is yours.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

(6,444 posts)i think we are getting more and more HRC voters here!
Even with the GDP situation we should be getting stronger. More people have voted for HRC. That is plenty proof. Makes me double down even more. I am a newbie now. But so glad that this group is here. Also new people can find us here.

The 'quiet revolution' is nearing the culmination of achievement, shattering that last ultimate glass ceiling.
This will finally change...

This may sound real nerdy, but I swear I get a little bit of a rush every time I read, Madame President.
Can't wait!
