Burger King Is Now Offering an Extra Long Cheeseburger That Is Smothered in Butter

Burger King has always been known as the fast food joint that lets you “have it your way.” But until recently, if your way included having your burger drenched in butter, you were out of luck. Luckily, the chain’s new, limited-time Extra Long Buttery Cheeseburger began rolling out nationwide on Monday.

The latest upgrade to BK’s signature sandwich features two beef patties flavored with a buttery garlic sauce, onions, iceberg lettuce, ketchup, mayonnaise and American cheese on a toasted hoagie bun, according to Brand Eating. It is similar to one of competitor Jack in the Box’s most successful new menu products, the Buttery Jack.

Customers can purchase the burger for $3.50 or as part of the 2 for $5 value deal.

The Jersey bully emerges: Fading in New Hampshire, Chris Christie flails at Marco Rubio

The Jersey bully emerges: Fading in New Hampshire, Chris Christie flails at Marco Rubio

http://www.salon.com/2016/02/03/the_jersey_bully_emerges_fading_in_new_hampshire_chris_christie_flails_at_marco_rubio/

Nobody is less impressed with Marco Rubio’s earth-shaking, timeline-altering, epoch-defining third-place finish in Iowa than Chris Christie. The New Jersey governor – who has been campaigning intensely in New Hampshire, taking only brief respites to go on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” and (time permitting) handle weather emergencies in his state – responded to Marco Rubio’s non-victory with a classic bit of Jersey machismo. “Unlike some of these other campaigns, I’m not the boy in the bubble … So when Sen. Rubio gets here, when the boy in the bubble gets here, I hope you guys ask him some questions,” Christie said. “Let’s get the boy in the bubble out of the bubble, and let’s see him play for the next week in New Hampshire.”

That’s basically the equivalent of Christie grabbing his crotch and shouting “I got your caucus RIGHT HERE!” It’s all part of Christie’s self-made image as the swaggering hard-ass straight talker who will tell it like it is and be the strongman tough guy America so desperately needs. But this attack on Rubio is noteworthy for a couple of reasons.

First of all, it’s an intensely personal swipe. Typically, when Christie goes after Rubio or Rand Paul or Ted Cruz, he focuses more on the fact that they’re a trio of meek and useless U.S. senators who don’t do anything beyond argue in the Capitol basement. “It’s perfectly legal in this country to change your mind,” Christie said at the Fox News debate last month, “but when you’re a governor, you have to admit it. You can’t hide behind parliamentary tricks.” But all this business about Rubio being a “boy in the bubble” has a spiteful and nasty edge to it. He’s calling Rubio a coward and a weakling.

The timing of the attack is also interesting. Yes, it came right on the heels of Rubio’s massive P.R. coup in Iowa, but it also comes as Christie himself is cratering in New Hampshire. For months and months, Christie was the beneficiary of a widespread media hunt for the Christie Comeback – every month or so, some pundit or reporter would guess that Christie was due for a rise in the polls because “he’s a fighter” and “you can’t count him out” and so forth. That Comeback never seemed to materialize until the beginning of December as Christie’s numbers in New Hampshire, which had been stuck in the mid-single digits for months, began creeping up. He reached a high of 11.5 percent right around the New Year, and since then it’s been a steady slide back down to the mid-single digits. That brief New Hampshire bump was not mirrored nationally (he’s at 3 percent), in Iowa (he finished with 2 percent), or in South Carolina (where he’s currently at 2 percent).

OF COURSE he doesn't regret running. Just check his bank balance to find out why.

Dear loyal friends and supporters:

We live in the greatest country on earth and I ran for President because I wanted to make it better for my 5 grandkids. I have no regrets about the effort because it’s never our responsibility to determine the results, but to be faithful to the task before us. I have suspended my campaign, but not my desire to see America protect all human life, reward those who work hard, and give our veterans and seniors what they have paid the price to earn.

I am blessed with an incredibly supportive wife and family who never wavered in their confidence in me. Our campaign staff was amazing—they gave it their all with competence, compassion, and a spirit of teamwork that I will forever cherish. Our effort didn’t fall short due to lack of effort and expertise from our team. And our volunteers every day were stunning and beyond belief in their efforts. On days when I was exhausted and getting hammered by polls, idiotic media questions, or long car rides, I would read a post on FB from one of our supporters or get a letter from a donor that gave me fresh energy and determination.

While I truly wish the results were different, I would rather lose with honor than win without it. Thank you so much for your prayers, your sacrifices of time and money, and your tireless efforts for our campaign.

Rumors abound that I’m getting ready to endorse someone, but those rumors are totally untrue. While I may eventually support one of the candidates, right now I have a lot of things to do in wrapping up the loose ends of the campaign, trying to figure out my next chapter of life, and spending some time with my dogs who probably wonder if I had abandoned them. (I haven’t!)

I love you guys, and want to stay in touch. I am eternally grateful for you!

WIth gratitude and great respect,

Mike Huckabee

During Critical Campaign Period, Ben Carson Heads Home To Get Fresh Clothes

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/ben-carson-fresh-clothes_us_56b005ffe4b057d7d7c7f47f

These first two weeks of February are critical for presidential candidates, who are rushing between Iowa and New Hampshire to get in as much face time with voters as possible.

Ben Carson, however, is taking a break.

His campaign announced that he will leave Iowa on Monday night and head to Florida to get some clean clothes. His aides said he was not ending his faltering presidential bid.

Carly Fiorina skipped her own caucus party, then skipped out of Iowa

http://www.aol.com/article/2016/02/02/carly-fiorina-skipped-her-own-caucus-party-then-skipped-out-of/21306529/

There wasn't much celebrating going on at Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina's camp after early Iowa caucus results started to roll in Monday night.

With only about 2 percent of the vote, preliminary results had her well behind leader Ted Cruz's nearly 28 percent.

But the disappointing numbers apparently aren't why she skipped out on her own after-party. Fiorina was reportedly a no-show because of an impending storm.

Fiorina tweeted around 10:30 p.m. local time that she was boarding a plane and headed to New Hampshire.
