John Pilger: Don't Forget Yugoslavia

The secrets of the crushing of Yugoslavia are emerging, telling us more about how the modern world is policed. The former chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for Yugoslavia in The Hague, Carla Del Ponte, this year published her memoir The Hunt: Me and War Criminals. Largely ignored in Britain, the book reveals unpalatable truths about the west's intervention in Kosovo, which has echoes in the Caucasus.

The tribunal was set up and bankrolled principally by the United States. Del Ponte's role was to investigate the crimes committed as Yugoslavia was dismembered in the 1990s. She insisted that this include Nato's 78-day bombing of Serbia and Kosovo in 1999, which killed hundreds of people in hospitals, schools, churches, parks and tele vision studios, and destroyed economic infrastructure. "If I am not willing to [prosecute Nato personnel]," said Del Ponte, "I must give up my mission." It was a sham. Under pressure from Washington and London, an investigation into Nato war crimes was scrapped.

Readers will recall that the justification for the Nato bombing was that the Serbs were committing "genocide" in the secessionist province of Kosovo against ethnic Albanians. David Scheffer, US ambassador-at-large for war crimes, announced that as many as "225,000 ethnic Albanian men aged between 14 and 59" may have been murdered. Tony Blair invoked the Holocaust and "the spirit of the Second World War". The west's heroic allies were the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), whose murderous record was set aside. The British foreign secretary, Robin Cook, told them to call him any time on his mobile phone...more

BLACK MIRROR finally comes to the US via DirecTV

The Twilight Zone for the 21st century. Try just one of 6 independent episodes- you'll be watching the rest.

Thought provoking and hard to forget. The kind of TV that you think about days later. Created by the one and only Charlie Brooker.

"Black Mirror" is an acclaimed British anthology series about our fears about technology and the future, one that earned comparisons to "The Twilight Zone." Created by Charlie Brooker ("Brass Eye," "Dead Set&quot , the series aired in the U.K. in two three-episode seasons, the first in December 2011 and the second in February 2013, and was for a long time a contender for series most talked about on the internet and yet not available on U.S. television.

But "Black Mirror" is finally coming (legally) to U.S. screens courtesy of DirecTV's Audience Network. The channel, which is exclusive to DirecTV subscribers, will be airing all six episodes of "Black Mirror," premiering on Tuesday, November 12 at 9pm. The series will air alongside another Brit series, "Secret State" at 10pm.

"'Black Mirror' is truly unlike any other show that is currently on television, which makes it a perfect fit for Audience," said DirecTV's Chris Long. "We are always on the hunt for programming that, like our network, is unique and thought-provoking. We are thrilled to be able to present them with 'Black Mirror' and 'Secret State.'"

"Black Mirror" is made up of a series of thematically linked but separate stories...more

Black Mirror generated positive reviews, having been credited as being innovative and shocking with twists-in-the-tale reminiscent of The Twilight Zone. Michael Hogan of The Daily Telegraph described the first episode, "The National Anthem", as "a shocking but ballsy, blackly comic study of the modern media". He went on to say that "This was a dementedly brilliant idea. The satire was so audacious, it left me open-mouthed and squealing. Rather like that poor pig."

Investing in Water Good Long-Term Bet, Goldman Head Says

Bloomberg Business Peter S. Green Feb 11, 2013

Investing in water utilities, infrastructure and water rights offers stable, long-term returns, Kyung-Ah Park, head of the environmental markets group at Goldman Sachs Group Inc., said in an interview.

“Water’s an indispensable necessity, and supply is very inelastic,” Park said in New York. Water infrastructure is a way to invest in the megatrend, said the executive of a world in which one in eight, or 884 million people, still lack access to safe water supplies.

With demand for water growing twice as fast as a global population expected to reach 8 billion by 2025, and much of the developed world’s water infrastructure aging faster than it can be replaced, municipalities constrained by the amount they can charge customers need to seek alternative financing, she said.

Public-private partnerships where municipalities join with private water operators in water and water-treatment operations, some with incentives, are one model being used more, particularly in the U.S...more

Icelanders Overthrow Government and Rewrite Constitution After Banking Fraud-No Word From US Media

Las Vegas Guardian Express
Rebecca Savastio December 2, 2013

Can you imagine participating in a protest outside the White House and forcing the entire U.S. government to resign? Can you imagine a group of randomly chosen private citizens rewriting the U.S. constitution to include measures banning corporate fraud? It seems incomprehensible in the U.S., but Icelanders did just that. Icelanders forced their entire government to resign after a banking fraud scandal, overthrowing the ruling party and creating a citizen’s group tasked with writing a new constitution that offered a solution to prevent corporate greed from destroying the country. The constitution of Iceland was scrapped and is being rewritten by private citizens; using a crowd-sourcing technique via social media channels such as Facebook and Twitter. These events have been going on since 2008, yet there’s been no word from the U.S. mainstream media about any of them. In fact, all of the events that unfolded were recorded by international journalists, overseas news bureaus, citizen journalists and bloggers. This has created current accusations of an intentional cover up of the story by mainstream U.S. news sources.

An “iReport” on CNN, written by a private citizen in May 2012, has questioned the reasons why this revolution has not been widely covered in the U.S., suggesting that perhaps the mainstream media is controlled by large corporate interests and thus has been unwilling to report on Iceland’s activities. That report is currently making its way around social media. CNN today placed a statement on its website saying: “We’ve noticed this iReport is being shared widely on Facebook and Twitter. Please note that this article was posted in May 2012. CNN has not yet verified the claims and we’re working to track down the original writer.” It is interesting to note that CNN’s European version, CNN Europe, already covered the story of the protests and the government’s resignation, leading many to question why CNN would now need to “look into” the claims.

Besides CNN Europe’s own coverage of the scandal, the events in Iceland were widely covered by international media and are easily verified by a simple search on Google which leads to a variety of reputable international news sources that ran numerous stories on the Icelandic revolution. A whole documentary has been made on the governmental overthrow called Pots, Pans and Other Solutions, and now, the conversation is focused on whether or not the citizens’ actions actually worked to make Iceland a more equitable nation.

To understand the enormity of what happened in Iceland, it’s best to draw parallels between the initial banking fraud that caused Iceland’s economy to collapse and the banking fraud in the U.S. that caused the mortgage crisis six years ago...>more

Iceland Has Hired An Ex-Cop To Hunt Down The Bankers That Wrecked Its Economy
7/2012

Hauksson oversees a posse of 100 researchers to help track down outlaws. He's netted some major convictions since starting in 2009, including the former chief of staff of the country's finance minister on insider trading charges. Many others await their day in court, Chabas writes.

And he will track you down even if you've fled abroad.

Cenk: Iceland Arresting Bankers WORKS! Economy Growing Faster Than EU Now.
9/2012

Imagine that in 2008, instead of bailing out bankers who made criminally risky investments with investors' and depositors' money, we arrested them, bailed out the victims, and let better bankers take over. That is what Iceland did, meeting with a remarkably hushed silence in the American media.

You mean you can arrest a banker? Make them feel steel around their wrists just like anyone else? As Sarah Palin would say, you betcha.

size of land in sq miles of US: 3,536,290

size of land in sq miles of Germany: 134,623

People seem to always be able to come up with a million reasons why ideas are silly. It's quite a shift from the Kennedy mindset of going to the moon in a decade.

The American people deserve to be dependent on foreign oil, fracking and risky leaky nuclear fission reactors. Because the big warning sounded in the early '70s and since then nothing has been done at all. Neither the (R)'s or the (D)'s have done a GD thing.

And how much energy is spent and has been spent on conquering lands 8000 miles away? Global warming? What a joke. The US military contributes more in 5 minutes to any warming than the entire nation does driving cars and leaving lights on for weeks.

The naysayers and the do nothings have ruled for at least 40 years too long. It's way past time to think outside the boxes and do something. Maybe pull some scientists off the latest drone projects, or repurpose the brains that build huge data centres for an org that spies on the world.

Who is doing the selling? Di-Fi's husband Richard C Blum

Claim: The husband of Senator Dianne Feinstein chairs a company that brokers sales of USPS facilities.

True

It was recently learned that the United States has entered into a contract with one firm to sell 56 buildings that currently house U.S. Post Offices. The government has decided that it no longer needs these buildings (many of which are located on prime land in towns and cities across the country).

The sale of these properties will bring in billions of dollars and, with that, millions of dollars in commissions for the one Company that is in charge of handling the sale and negotiation of the new leases.

What makes this such a matter of concern is that the company that the Government has contracted with to conduct the sales (and the corresponding leases for the new locations of the displaced post offices) is owned by Richard Blum.

Does that name mean anything to you? Maybe it should re-phrased and say that the person who owns the company that is solely in charge of this multi-million-dollar transaction is Richard Blum the husband of Senator Dianne Feinstein....

Selling off the Post Office: Berkeley calls out Richard Blum

Led by Citizens to Save the Berkeley Post Office, community members will assemble at 11:30 a.m. for a rally at 909 Montgomery in front of the offices of Blum Capital Partners. Blum Capital is a private equity firm founded in 1976 by Richard Blum, a current regent of the University of California. Commercial real estate giant Coldwell Banker Richard Ellis (CBRE) is among the many investments of Blum Capital. In fact the Chairman of CBRE is Richard Blum.

the guy in the video fuels his car with it

he's using 6Li (lithium-6) H (hydride) for storage and he gets ~400 miles from the tanks you see in the still shot.

EDIT to add: BMW has a hydrogen car now, so does Honda

The future is closer than you think.

The BMW Hydrogen 7 is the world's first production-ready hydrogen vehicle. It's already proving itself in the real world too: we're putting 100 of them to the test as loan cars for leading figures from the worlds of culture, politics, business and the media, including Oscar-winning film director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck and Erich Sixt, chairman of rental car company Sixt AG.

Real-world experience shows that switching to hydrogen can go hand in hand with the comfort, dynamics and safety you'd expect from a BMW.
http://www.bmw.com/com/en/insights/technology/efficient_dynamics/phase_2/clean_energy/bmw_hydrogen_7.html

I repeat:

If a few billion dollars blown on the Middle East wars (>$2,000 per second) was spent on Hydrogen storage tech we'd already be independent

Water is (almost) everywhere- h20
Split the oxygen from the hydrogen in a garage with a battery-hooked to solar
put the gas in a tank

Some R+D would be able to solve this if the US wasn't spending all the time and brains on drones and spying

Former Area 51 employee Bob Lazar is interviewed by Visual Effects Supervisor Jon Farhat. In this video, they discuss what H1 (hydrogen) is, how it is created and it's potential in the automotive sector. In addition, Bob show us he has his own particle accelerator which he uses to create 6Li (lithium-6) H (hydride) for H1 storage.

6Li is used to store hydrogen safely and efficiently. It is also one of the key components in making a thermal-nuclear weapon, but by itself is not dangerous. Because of crony capitalism and ignorant politicians, the US government has banned 6Li and the buying and selling of it. However, the making of 6Li H yourself with your own particle accelerator IS NOT!

Bob uses solar panels to power an H1 generator which produces H1 from H2O (water). For the safe and efficient storage of the dangerous H1, 6Li H must be created with a particle accelerator and used for H1 storage in high compression tanks. With the H1 generator, H1 is forced into the 6Li H tanks through the syringe compression process.

Bob is the owner of of United Nuclear Scientific and Switch2Hydrogen. Jon is the owner of ODEMAX and director of this video.

If we can fly 2 men to the moon we can figure out how to store hydrogen.

And it's everywhere water is.

About solarhydrocan

Is it possible to get fuel from water? Of course it is. Water is H2O. Split the hydrogen from the oxygen and you have hydrogen. Put it in tanks and voila- fuel. Watch it happen: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K3GDjVskYIs The main cost is electricity. But if Solar Panels power the electrolysis the only cost is the panels and the water.
