In a statement, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) both offered praise for Scalia, while also pushing back on early calls from conservatives that Scalia’s replacement be chosen by President Obama’s successor:
“There is no doubt Justice Antonin Scalia was a brilliant man. We had our differences and I disagreed with many of his opinions, but he was a dedicated jurist and public servant. I offer my condolences to his family.
“The President can and should send the Senate a nominee right away. With so many important issues pending before the Supreme Court, the Senate has a responsibility to fill vacancies as soon as possible. It would be unprecedented in recent history for the Supreme Court to go a year with a vacant seat. Failing to fill this vacancy would be a shameful abdication of one of the Senate’s most essential Constitutional responsibilities.”
(Just put out a statement saying Pres. Obama will make the decision, because he IS the President, period! )
Bernie Sanders to hold rally in Denver on Saturday
U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders will travel to Colorado on Saturday to hold a rally at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
Sanders plans to discuss his ideology which includes money in politics, climate change and college affordability.
Doors open at 3 p.m. The event will start at 5 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but Sanders' campaign is strongly encouraging people to RSVP here: http://bit.ly/1KI2PQC.

It's Not Over, Bernie Sanders, Eric Garners daughter's video
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders released an online video Thursday featuring the daughter of Eric Garner, a 43-year-old unarmed father of six who was killed in a chokehold by New York City police officers in 2014.
The video is an example of attempts by the Democratic presidential candidate to reach out to black voters as the race heads to South Carolina and Nevada, where there are large populations of blacks and Latinos. In South Carolina, black voters make up more than 60% of the primary electorate.
“I’m behind anyone who’s going to listen and speak up for us, and I think we need to believe in a leader like Bernie Sanders,” Erica Garner says in the video. “There’s no other person that’s speaking about this. People are dying. This is real. This is not TV. We need a president that’s going to talk about it.”

Jane Sanders: Albright's Comments 'Unfortunate And Disturbing' (VIDEO)
Jane Sanders, the wife of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), on Wednesday said she found former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright's comments urging female voters to support Hillary Clinton "disturbing."
Albright over the weekend told young women that it was important for them to support Clinton's presidential bid as feminists, saying, "There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t help each other!"
"I found them unfortunate and disturbing," Jane Sanders told HuffPost Live about Albright's comments. "I think that women today are a little bit more intelligent to say — to not say, 'Okay, all I care about is gender.' By that case, then, if Bernie won the Democratic nomination and Carly Fiorina won the Republican nomination, we should be supporting Carly Fiorina."

First, the candidates offering unpaid internships are not breaking any laws. In most cases, it is perfectly legal to hire interns for non-paying positions as long as those interns receive some tangible benefit (such as school credit or valuable work experience) in return. Second, some candidates, such as Republican Ben Carson, do offer their interns others forms of compensation, such as stipends for food or travel. And neither we nor the Washington Post have unable to determine if GOP candidate Donald Trump's campaigns offers internships (or, if so, whether those internships are paid positions), although we note that interns at Trump Entertainment Resorts are reportedly paid $10 an hour.
The campaign teams of Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Hillary Clinton and Chris Christie have all recently posted advertisements seeking interns for non-paying positions. A recent posting on Bernie Sanders' web site, on the other hand, advertises a paid internship position (although such ads do not necessarily indicate that all campaign internship positions are paying ones):

Big win for Sanders in New Hampshire
Bernie Sanders has won the Democratic presidential primary in New Hampshire.
CBS News, CNN and The Associated Press called the race at about 8 p.m., just after the polls closed.
At about 9:30 p.m., Sanders declared victory in a speech before an elated crowd of supporters at his watch party in Concord.
"Thank you, New Hampshire!" Sanders said to cheers. "Together we have sent a message that will echo from Wall Street to Washington, from Maine to California. And that is that the government of our country belongs to all of the people, and not just a handful of wealthy campaign contributors and their super PACs."
