They both are extremely bad for the country and both extremely hard to get rid of.

Maybe long after I’ve been cremated and my remains dumped in the Mississippi River to lazily float down to the Big Easy, someone will think my idea is a great idea to get rid of the separation of church and state. Churchs want to meddle, Churchs gonna pay up. I look forward to the day the Pope of the future fires all his American Bishops of the future for the big ass tax bill he will get from Uncle Sam. Of course I’ll be sipping a Margarita continuing my life long and death long mourning of the great Jimmy Buffet to notice the loud whining of those who, by god, don’t get freedom.

I’ll be searching for my lost shaker of salt.

2. Agreed, we thought there was no way to get rid of this which has stuck us with leaders that the people didn't choose

But necessity is the mother of invention and an inventive group has come up with an idea that might work. The Electoral College worked back in the day when voters couldn't necessarily get to the polls, let alone to the Capitol. But now we have successful mass transportation and a (semi) reliable postal system, so the Electoral College became outmoded decades ago. And those in favor of keeping it are those who support minority rule - and we've seen how that worked out and we're currently witnessing the repercussions each and every day.

For 19 years. Saw him often, he had a great restaurant in the quarter. Saw him many times. Checkout the 2011 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival poster. Awesome. The first thing one sees at the bottom step to our basement. He was mentioned in our 50th wedding anniversary notice. Enjoy the concert.

how cool on the 50th! Yep, we lived in South Florida in the 80's, so you can imagine. Continued seeing him thru the years. Will be bringing some emotional closure to his death, (which was a gut punch), Thursday night.

Other states are in the process. Check out the Ballotpedia links or the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact page to see where states are in the process:

Why would those states only be colored blue? Must be my aging eyes, right?
