New York State court judge Juan Merchan just imposed a gag order on Donald Trump. This is the 3rd gag order judges have felt compelled to issue for Trump to protect witnesses, jurors, court and prosecutorial staff and family members.

Not only should TFG be gagged against threatening judges and court personnel, but Cannon's "minders" need to pay a lot closer attention! And didn't he sign agreement to be "detained" if he persisted in his attacks??

2. The Judge has every right to issue the gag order

like the previous ones, but if DT breaks it, will anyone actually be able to ennforce consequences against him? Without that aren't these orders just words on paper? Fines haven't worked so far

5. Exactly! "Fines" have done nothing, even twice in the E. Jean Carroll case

He needs to be "detained" as the agreement he signed for Judge Chutkan. But others have said that such a move could further incite his deluded "supporters."

6. At this point I think the risk of inciting them has to be taken, and they need to be arrested

if they try anything themselves. It's kind of like Roosevelt said the only thing to fear is fear itself. They're going to try to cause trouble at sometime point any way. We can't just let him or them keep breaking the law just because we are afraid of how they will react. If they see they are winning the intimidation game, they are just going to keep relying on and escalating their efforts even more anyway. My Dad always told me if a dog scents your fear it is more likely to bite you, because it triggers their own defenses.

Plus in my way of thinking the more of them who violate the law, and end up behind bars now, the less of them there are to cause even more trouble in November.

7. I couldn't agree more!

Hundreds of violent insurrectionists have been charged, tried, convicted and jailed and more are arrested and prosecuted every day. But the chief problem is still out there, TFG may be "out on bail," but he's still free to hold his "rallies" where he persists in his attacks in his constant efforts to incite. As their dangerous "leader," he should have followed his violent "supporters" to pre-trial incarceration long ago. And it makes no sense that some have been in jail for a couple of years, yet he has yet to face trial!

8. Judges only issue a gag order when their staff or family are threatened.

That is what it takes to get them to do something.
The other staff and their families are not that important.
