1. She stays and puts off the trial until after the election.
2. Smith forces her recusal; they have to appoint a new judge, and that delays the trial until after the election.

In both cases, if Trump wins (heaven help us) the trial will not happen.

If Smith forces her into recusal, the positive outcome would be that she would be clearly exposed as a right-leaning judge.
