The bond is so that the case can be appealed, as I thought everyone should have known by now. It has nothing to do with bail.

Does Hartmann make these odd, clearly wrong assertions on purpose? Clickbait? He has to know that a bond is not bail.

Agree or disagree with him, his facts are unassailable. If he does make a factual error, he humbly corrects it as soon as it's apparent. Respected is the best definition of his opinions.

except that bail is also a form of bond - of a different kind. And there are security companies, just as there are bail bondsmen. I think Thom is just making an analogy here - and whoever wrote the headline fell into the trap. I do respect Thon, but not his clickbait headlines (I cssn believe just about anything about Trump**, but believing that Thom writes his own headlines - that's a real strestch.)
