2. I must have asked this a dozen times here! We know that Republicans in Congress helped plan and execute January 6th

And we heard there were going to be investigations of those who gave Capitol "tours" in the days leading up to it - despite the fact that Capitol "tourist visits" were halted due to the pandemic. Every day we hear of more violent insurrectionists being arrested or convicted, but what about those in Congress who planned and supported it?!

I ask this question at least once a week.

The capitol tours, the missing emergency buttons in some of the Dem MOC offices.
The insurrectionists knew about parts of the building that many MOC didn't know about.

GOP MOC were in on the planning of the insurrection.

I think the GOP MOC are not just protecting Trump, they are protecting themselves.
They are counting on him to get into the WH and shut down all investigations.

The thing is, the evidence is right there, from those who illegally gave Capitol tours and those who now insist that January 6th was just a "routine tourist visit" despite the violent film footage that the entire country has seen - and the deaths and debilitating injuries sustained from Capitol Police.

7. Yes I think some of the retirements are exactly that.

Saving their own skins.
They have already committed crimes and may be asked to commit more.
They are tired of it and afraid.

Of course there is evidence and witnesses.
Some of the meetings to plan J6 were attended by many people.
Some of them could be witnesses.
And yes Dem MOC saw the "tours" and reported them.

And we saw some of the crimes in real time on TV.

I was struck at the time seeing some of the GOP MOC.
Broad smiles and happy. They knew exactly what was going on.
They were loving it. MTG comes to mind.

I think one reason the GOP refused to wear masks that day was to identify themselves
to the insurrectionists. Only the Dem MOC were wearing masks, and they were identified
easily then by insurrectionists.

8. Excellent point, but my question is why it's taken so long??

The January 6th committee did a courageous job and all of their witnesses were Republicans. This needs to become a priority though it's frustrating that it's taking years - and their "leader," the one who orchestrated January 6th and invited the violent groups there, still has yet to face justice! Not to mention, he's now running to lead the government he attempted to overthrow!

They could only go after Trump, not the MOC.

Did Garland make some sort of deal too on behalf of the DOJ?

Why have the GOP MOC not been held to account.
These are federal officials who are on the US payroll trying to over throw the US government.
