Thomas gives 'daughter' plum clerkship, gateway to elite conservative class - Alex Wagner - MSNBC

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has hired a woman he considers a "nearly adopted daughter" to be one of his law clerks, setting her up to join American conservative elites dedicated to advancing Thomas' vision of the United States. Mark Joseph Stern, senior writer covering the courts and the law for Slate, joins Alex Wagner to discuss how aberrant this particular bit of nepotism is. - Aired on 03/28/2024.

Thomas does not adjudicate the law, he is the law, therefore he can do no wrong. Chainfire Mar 29 #4

And no matter if his rich friends or his wife have ties to a case, he refuses to "excuse" himself as he should. And this is just another example of his blatant refusal to do the right thing, his association with the rich and powerful has gone to his head. I'm not sure which Supreme Court Justice I dislike the most, but Clarence Thomas is right up there - along with Alito who believes he's qualified to make life changing medical decisions for those he will never know, though he has no medical degree.

We think some people can be self-regulated because they posses the I-am-a-superior-human being gene that makes them immune to corruption and bribery.

Why do some believe these obviously earthly Republicans only need the lightest touch of self-reporting for problematic, financial and political affiliations.
