Voted in the Colorado primary this weekend

Long-time lurker here - 14 years, less than 100 posts, but check in to DU every single day. For the longest time during this primary season, I've thought that I really don't care who gets the nomination - that I would be voting blue, no matter who, and that every Democratic candidate would be a giant step towards progress and away from the stain in the oval office.
But since they don't really let vote "All of the above" in the primary, I needed to decide who to vote for. And oddly, I found myself thinking, if I had to choose between winning the Senate and winning the Presidency, and I could only get one of them, which would I choose? And for me (your mileage may vary), if I had to pick one, I'd pick the Senate. Maybe it's my white-hot-heat-of-a-thousand-suns hatred for Cory Gardner affecting my outlook, but if we win the White House and lose the Senate, we're in the same d*mn gridlock we have now.
Obviously what I want is everything - the House, the Senate, and the Presidency, but for me, the "coat-tails" of who we nominate are critical. But I still want a progressive agenda - health care has to be addressed, the tax system has to be made progressive again, capitalism needs to be regulated again, and we have to at least start to undo 4 years of flat out evil.
Anyway, for me, wanting to balance a progressive executive branch agenda with the coat-tails to drive a Democratic House and a Democratic Senate - my vote went to Elizabeth Warren. Because at the end of the day, like I did when I voted for Obama, and I did when I voted for Clinton, I try to vote for the smartest M-Fer in the room.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

The last time I was in Colorado during primary season was in '08, and I think it was the first time in my political life that the nomination wasn't already decided by the time of the caucus.

I was very excited to go caucus for Obama that year.

We have a primary for the Presidential candidate ONLY on Super Tuesday, and then primaries for the House and Senate races at the end of June.

I also caucused for Obama in 2008 - I took my (then) young children with me to see the process. 2016's caucus was a disaster - lots of folks who couldn't find places to park and gave up on attending. That was probably the last straw that pushed us back to a primary system.

primary today, I would vote for:

I also caucused in '04, which happened after Kerrey had already effectively won the nomination.

I think there were only 4 people who showed up from my precinct.

A big plus from that was that I got to be a delegate to the state convention that year.
