Hillary Clinton talks big on climate change but silent on Keystone XL WashTimes

Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, who is waging a long-shot bid for Democratic presidential nomination, pounced on Mrs. Clinton.

“Governor O’Malley is opposed to the Keystone XL pipeline because we can’t move to a clean energy future if we continue to rely on dirty, short-term fossil fuel fixes,” said O’Malley campaign manager Lis Smith. “Real leadership is about forging public opinion on issues like Keystone — not following it. Every Democrat should follow his lead and take a stand to commit to ending our reliance on fossil fuels.”

The media has been pretty harsh on Hillary's plan. It's mostly all fluff. She doesn't really do much beyond what would happen naturally with the solar market. And she isn't addressing industrial or business carbon usage at all. The solar plan is solely fixed on residences. Plus, she is paying for it with tax credits which is ineffective.

O'Malley's plan is light-years beyond what Hillary is offering. And environmental activists are noticing Hillary's cheap talk and O'Malley's impressive plan.

Hillary refusing to commit to a position on Keystone just gave the media an in to really dig into her weak plan and expose it. Had she given an opinion on Keystone, the media would have likely just stuck to fluff stories.
