Please don't go. Not over this.

(43,853 posts)It has to do with belonging to a group of supporters for a candidate where trolling is endorsed by alleged supporters. Bernie has my complete support, I just don't think DU is the place for me to do it.

(46,585 posts)... a particularly obnoxious interloper appeared to exploit the fact that no hosts had been put in place yet. And we got that shit deleted and the person ix-nayed in spite of the breach.
Honestly, I cannot stomach some that are allowed to pollute for instance the Populist Reform group so, if I'm hearing you correctly, I share that annoyance.
Please step away from your computer for a bit, regroup, and come back. Bernie needs every pair of hands on deck we can muster, and yours matter.
Cheers.

(46,585 posts)I never set foot in the HRC group. I don't understand why some of her supporters think it's fine to just squat in this group when it's crystal clear from their posts elsewhere where they stand. There are over 50 people banned from the HRC forum. If it were up to me, I'd give them one warning here and then BOOM they'd be gone.

(36,418 posts)There are probably more people banned than active members inside those walls. The Barack Obama forum is almost as insular. Let that be a warning to anyone who might want to put a lid on criticism and dissent within other candidate groups. If anyone's post within the Bernie Forum upsets you, let a jury decide, just like on the rest of this site.

(7,499 posts)I got into a debate with a certain active poster here a week or so ago about Bernie. This individual took exception with nearly every positive statement about Sen. Sanders. I was appalled to see this poster here, claiming to be a Sanders supporter and putting up many posts within minutes of the announcement that Bernie is running.
Last night I posted that we need to be cautious about who we trust here and look closely at their previous posts. I really hate to think that something like this could infiltrate DU, but the evidence speaks for itself.

(46,585 posts)Check this shit out: The first three are &^*%$# HRC supporters! WTF! Is there a reason they can't respect this group with their absence? I never set foot in the HRC group.

(16,380 posts)you had in my OP please don't.
If we had hosts (which will be soon) I am fairly confidant that ST would be about 1/2 as long as it is.
Disruption comes in many different forms. Dragging a point out for 52 ponderous snarky posts with emoticans and "hmmmm's" is IMHO trolling in a safe haven group.

REASON FOR ALERT
This post is disruptive, hurtful, rude, insensitive, over-the-top, or otherwise inappropriate.
ALERTER'S COMMENTS
Call out of another DU'er. This kind of post isn't fair. Yes this is a protected group but this kind of call out is not something that should be protected. And don't say it's not a call out because there is no name, it takes about 10 seconds to figure out who they are talking about.
You served on a randomly-selected Jury of DU members which reviewed this post. The review was completed at Thu Apr 30, 2015, 12:33 PM, and the Jury voted 2-5 to LEAVE IT.

(3,533 posts)If it is the host thing, nothing is set in stone yet.
After the first one I would like to see anyone who has the desire to volunteer to be designated as a host. Why should we have winners and losers when all Bernie enthusiasts are equal winners.
If we have 20 hosts, so what, better to cover our threads
This host thingee has got to be stripped bare of the power motive and everyone should be Bernie team equals
If Autumn is elected ,I hope she surrounds herself with all the valuable host volunteers and advisers that come forth to serve.

(3,533 posts)This is the exact point I was making in the candidate thread.
We don't need this nonsense, it has disturbed you emotionally and now you want to leave when we need everyone we can muster.
Anyone who thinks this kind of debate is helpful to our cause and our positive energies is not our friend.
We're in for the fight of our lives and anyone who stands in our way should be removed.
Please reconsider

(3,533 posts)Host #1,2,3,4,5 with a chain of command from 1 down.
You agreed with the Mad one when one of our own was being bullied, shame on you.
Why did you feel it necessary to interject your opinion when your only the pollster, nothing more.
We are supposed to stand united so I guess this is what you meant when you said we need non-Bernie supporters in our leadership for balance.
Agschmid
(28,749 posts)You realize that they aren't really a lead host, they just happen to be the first host.
Once that person is a host they can determine who the other hosts are and if they so choose make every active member of this group a host (this probably won't happen).
I think it's frustrating to see this:
That is incredibly disrespectful towards me. I do stand united with this group, and the rest of DU as we work to defeat Republican candidates. I'm not here to make everyone happy, and I'm not going to always agree with everyone, or the majority of the people. Thats something I take pride in, I have had the pleasure of voting both for Warren and Sanders as I've lived in both those states as they ran for office and I am proud of my vote.
If there is something else you want from me, you may not get it. Sorry.
