Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumOkay, Bernie Supporters, I promise not to tell anyone. Just whisper in my ear.
How did we and our fellow Bernie supporters who do not post at DU manage to get control of the internet?
Apparently, Bernie supporters on and off DU are the only ones who have had access to the internet during the last several months.
I am the first to admit I am no whiz when it comes to things like this. How did we manage it? Did you all take up a collection without including me and hire Anonymous to pull this off?

(14,733 posts)After all, if a boss sleeping with an employee is an abuse of power, or a teacher sleeping with a student, isn't it a massive abuse of power for a God to sleep with a mortal follower? Can't have any more lopsided power imbalance than that, after all. Essentially statutory rape, and if they get knocked up, the God makes sure they serve as a forced birth incubator for their Godly rapist seed. What does it say about folks who would go around worshipping such a divine rapist and his cuckolded spawn?

(6,409 posts)I see the term "keyboard warriors" quite a lot when referring to Sandernistas. I guess we're supposed to be a bunch of near sighted geeks who wear Star Trek costumes and debate the fine points of different Linux versions. We watch the internet and pounce on any sort of poll, etc. by posting under each of our 230 different profiles. And so on.

(45,251 posts)The April poll asking us to choose between Bernie and Hillary was such an eye opener in so many ways. Until then, I thought DU's left was in the minority here.
As of this post, that poll stands at 60 to 620, quite a stunner.

Younger generations which grew up with the internet tend to break heavily toward Sanders. Reddit has given this younger crowd a platform with which to organize allowing them to effectively vote on poll-driven endorsements, spread the word for Sanders, and raise money for the Sanders campaign.

This is such an "I told you so" moment for me.
All the "we don't do online polling because it's stupid, and useless and we have better things to do with our time."
And here Bernie wins the DfA endorsement, with a poll that required an email a name AND A ZIP CODE in order to vote... AND BERNIE WON WITH 88% of the vote!
EIGHTY EIGHT.

(14,177 posts)since this was posted Bernie supporters have shown we are a contentious bunch of people. We will not take someone smearing our candidate lightly nor are we going to just sit by and let the DNC aka DWS control the narrative. I hope that all 258,000 plus people who signed the petition to have Bernie's access to his own information restored call 877-336-7200 and let them know we see the favoritism that DWS is showing Hillary. I don't even blame Hillary for this. In someways, I think she can be blind to her insider status.
