loop holes so ALL corporations pay a fair share of taxes, raise the cap on SS to stabilize it for the next 50+ years, eliminate Carried Interest, etc.

Bernie's already explained how they are wrong when they calculate thee cost of Medicare for all.

The Pub idea that NONE of them have to pay any taxes is pure crap and they know it.

Bernie is my second choice after O'Malley. I think both of them have grew ideas that will help this country. No matter who gets into the WH, democrats need to make damned sure they start thinking about the things you mentioned, like raising the cap on SS for the rich, getting rid of any kind of subsidies to the oil companies, and any corporation that is getting "corporate welfare". Thinks can be done for the betterment of this country with that money, and like was stated, trillions were wasted on a needless, senseless war by the republicans and we received nothing in return except for the lose of our children who died fighting that war.

I think an O'Malley, Sanders ticket, either one on the top, would be a great ticket that would put democrats back in the WH, and back in charge of the Senate, and an increase in democrats in the House.

Now is the time for a real progressive populist movement, but the message needs to be clear and not overly complex and it needs to be repeated over and over to drive it home into the minds of the people.

Then Bernie will win.

They lost over 6 billion in cash that they shipped over there for petty cash alone.
It was trillions not billions.

The US flew nearly $12bn in shrink-wrapped $100 bills into Iraq, then distributed the cash with no proper control over who was receiving it and how it was being spent.
The staggering scale of the biggest transfer of cash in the history of the Federal Reserve has been graphically laid bare by a US congressional committee.

In the year after the invasion of Iraq in 2003 nearly 281 million notes, weighing 363 tonnes, were sent from New York to Baghdad for disbursement to Iraqi ministries and US contractors. Using C-130 planes, the deliveries took place once or twice a month with the biggest of $2,401,600,000 on June 22 2004, six days before the handover.

Details of the shipments have emerged in a memorandum prepared for the meeting of the House committee on oversight and government reform which is examining Iraqi reconstruction. Its chairman, Henry Waxman, a fierce critic of the war, said the way the cash had been handled was mind-boggling. "The numbers are so large that it doesn't seem possible that they're true. Who in their right mind would send 363 tonnes of cash into a war zone?"

I know Republicans that are pissed about the cost of the wars. Granted, they are in the minority in their party.
Regardless, pointing out GOP failures won't make them more likely to accept more gov't programs.

to that strategy.

This morning I read a number of stories about the Syrian immigrants in the NY Times. The thought that U.S. foreign policy is in no small way a reason for their migration makes me absolutely ill. We need to MOOFB (mind our own...). The world would be way better off without our evil influence, at least as long as the corporate control continues.

Cher

p.s. to be fair, there was also a story about how Obama's lack of enthusiasm for "boots on the ground" resulted in a change of policy. However, they still blew $500 million on this crap. I thought, "Wow, how far would $500 million go in actually paying our college teachers a livable wage (adjuncts) or for scholarships so that students aren't in debt when they get out?" This is just effing bull@$# and I am sick of it.

That is why it will be "boots on the ground" for me with campaigning for Bernie. I will be out there knocking on doors until my knuckles bleed.

for Bernie theme.

That just might be a keeper.

We could say something like:

Well, if you want boots on the ground, how about boots on the ground for Bernie!

Join the revolution!
And show a picture of some nice slightly worn combat boots.

I like it.
